High Holy Days Schedule

Please Join Us At Etz Chaim For The High Holy Days!

Rosh Hashanah begins at sunset on Sunday, September 9th this year, and ends at sunset Tuesday the 11th.

Yom Kippur Begins at sunset on Tuesday, September 18th and ends at nightfall on Wednesday the 19th.

Here’s our High Holy Days Schedule

Rosh Hashanah

Sunday, September 9th, Evening Service at 7 p.m.
Sermon – Rabbi Gary Berenson

Monday, September 10th at  9 a.m.
Morning service with special guest speaker & well-known political strategist Aaron David Miller, followed by our annual Tashlich Service (procession to ocean) led from the synagogue down India Street to The Ocean Gateway by David Handwerker at 1 p.m.

Tuesday, September 11th, 2nd Day Rosh Hashanah, Morning Service at 9 a.m.

Yom Kippur

Tuesday,  September 18th, Kol Nidre Service at 6.15 p.m.
Sermon by Rabbi Gary Berenson

Yom Kippur Day, Wednesday, September 19th
Morning service At 9, with special guest speaker – Hon. Kermit Lipez
Yizkor (Memorial) service at 4 p.m.
Mincha service immediately following at 4.30
Neila (closing) service at approximately 5.15 p.m.

Followed by our annual break-the-fast, this year provided by Andy Brenner
